Daewon Song

Daewon Song is another pro skater who skates for Almost. He is a co-owner of it along with Rodney Mullen and some other skaters. In 1999 he tried to start his own skateboard company called Deca but it failed to grow any and he was forced to close it.

Daewon was featured in some of the Tony Hawk games starting with American Wasteland and starting with Proving Grounds. Daewon song is another one of the best freestyle skaters. he is credited with the first Hardflip ever caught on tape.

Rodney Mullen

Seems how this is my first blog since everyone started i thought i would talk about one of the best skaters known, Rodney Mullen. He began skating at age 10 in 1977. He was already sponsored by 1978, only owning a skateboard for under a year. When his family moved to a remote farm in Florida he started to focus on freestyle skating. In the late 70's he won 30 straight victories in amatuer competitions.

Rodney has created what we call skateboarding today. Using his massive intelligence he planned where to put his feet and exactly how to throw every trick. He created every flip trick in the book including the kickflip which was first call the Mullen Magic Flip because no one had ever even thought of flipping the board without putting their foot down or grabbing the board. In terms he is the best skater in the buisness.
